In 1999 I spent two weeks painting on the North Sea coast in the delightful villages of Coldingham and St. Ab's near the English border. In the beautiful rolling countryside along the rugged North Sea coastline it is not difficult to sense poetry in the view and the smell of history in man's structures. Here are samples of my paintings from that wonderful experience.
